About Hero's Journey® Foundation
The Hero's Journey® Foundation (HJF) initiatives have been inspired by the work of Joseph Campbell. Based on the hero archetype, we believe in the awakening of human consciousness through the undertaking of a mythic journey in order to become our truest and best selves. Our Hero’s Journey® Intensives are set in majestic natural surroundings. We cultivate personal awakening through the supports and challenges provided by the elements we create in nature’s wilderness, and we enhance this through poetry, music, movement and mindfulness practices. We provide a strong bonding source by journeying within ally groups. We revitalize participants by helping them to clarify their purpose, passion and place in the world. Our deepening processes bring Journeyers into conversation with the deepest questions they face about their unique purpose in life as well as the particular roles they play as members of a larger community. Participants inspire others by becoming living embodiments of a radiance that comes from within. This in turn is to be transmitted to the world at large.
