Originally established in the 70’s as Russell Pool Pumps, the company was the original importer of Grundfos Pumps into New Zealand with the first shipment arriving in Rotorua in 1979. With the head office in Rotorua, where it remains, the business grew to include a branch in Auckland. In 1996 the business was purchased by Dave Swann & Andy Monroe and the name was changed to Hi Flo Pumps and Irrigation Ltd. In the succeeding years the business has grown through the vision of the two proprietors, and some strategic acquisitions have enhanced the business further. In 2015 Hugh Gallagher acquired a share of the business, and following a 20 year career with Grundfos Pumps in New Zealand & Australia, bringing a depth of knowledge to enhance those of Dave & Andy.
