Hi-Tech Weld Overlay Group is an industrial welding contractor specializing in field and shop applied weld overlays for the petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, pulp & paper, power utilities, and related industries. Our automated applied weld overlays provide corrosion resistance and/or base metal restoration for process vessels and boiler water-walls. Hi-Tech Weld Overlay also provides other ASME code related weld repairs to process vessels, such as removal and reinstallation of nozzles, tray rings, and miscellaneous internals/attachments. Support services can also be performed by Hi-Tech, which includes abrasive blasting, base metal repairs, carbon arc gouging, lining removals, NDE (VT, PT, UT Thickness), and PMI verifications. Hi-Tech specializes in rapid mobilization to quickly and safely repair your plant equipment during planned and unplanned outages, ensuring that plant downtime is minimized. Hi-Tech began in 1985, as a specialty refractory contractor previously known as Hi-Tech Refractory Services—based in Houston, Texas. Since that time, under private ownership of the Reintjes family, Hi-Tech has created a distinctive tradition of specialized services for industrial facilities. In 2006, Hi-Tech Refractory Services changed names to Hi-Tech Industrial Services, to more clearly represent a new, wider range of industrial services being offered—including Automated Weld Overlays. In 2015, the Weld Overlay Group was split off and became a stand-alone company known as Hi-Tech Weld Overlay Group, LLC.; while still owned by the Reintjes family. Hi-Tech’s experience in petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, pulp & paper, power utilities, and related industries has earned a reputation known for excellence.
