About Hibernia College
Hibernia College is a blended learning third-level college dedicated to providing access to flexible, high-quality graduate, postgraduate and professional programmes using cutting-edge technology. The School of Education oversees the initial teacher education and continuing professional development course offerings. The College has just recently launched an innovate Bachelor of Education (Honours) Degree in Early Childhood Education and a BSc (Hons) in Nursing in General Nursing. Between the Professional Master of Education in Primary Education and the Professional Master of Education in Post-Primary Education, the College has educated over 10,000 teachers across Ireland. Alumni have assumed leadership positions in education both nationally and internationally. Additionally, the School of Education delivers a range of continuing professional development courses to thousands of professional educators. Hibernia College’s initial teacher education programmes prepare, develop and support reflective and critical educators who are academically strong, pedagogically skilled and technologically empowered. Students engage in interactive online tutorials and content, tutor-moderated discussion forums, webinars and presentations. The curriculum consists of a sequence of modules that address contemporary issues faced by teachers and the skills and knowledge required to respond to the needs of all students in a diverse global society. Hibernia College has engaged extensively with educators and practitioners in the Early Learning and Care sector (ELC), and in responding to their professional development needs, has created the Bachelor of Education (Honours) Degree Programme. A philosophy of care is exemplified across our interactions with our future students, we lead by example. Hibernia College continues to respond to the challenges of the 21st century with its strong foundation in research and innovation.
