COMPANY HISTORY Hibiscus Insurance Brokers (Pty) has provided financial services to the people of the Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coast, the Hibiscus Coast, and beyond since 1963. It was originally established by the Levitt family as an adjunct to their successful accounting and auditing practice and has been owned by current shareholders since 1989. Hibiscus is a founder member of the South African Insurance Brokers Association (SAIBA), the forerunner of the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA), of which it is still a member. COMPANY STRUCTURE The company is built around the brand; Hibiscus Brokers. There are two legal entities that make up the brand, namely, Hibiscus Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd (HIB) and Hibiscus Financial Brokers (Pty) Ltd (HFB). Each is licensed with the Financial Services Board and each is licensed to provide service and advice on certain categories.
