Wear the Sunflower when you need additional support or a little more time. Not all disabilities are visible - some are not immediately obvious, such as autism, dementia, anxiety, visual or hearing loss. People with visual or hearing disabilities do not always wear glasses or hearing aids. Those with joint problems or chronic pain may not always use mobility aids. Although the non-visible disability can make daily living more challenging for many people, it can be difficult for others to recognise or acknowledge. Others may not understand the cause of the problem, if they cannot see evidence of it in a visible way. The Sunflower makes you visible. Our Sunflower lanyard and products has been purposely designed to act as a discreet sign to staff and work colleagues that the wearer has a hidden disability and may require additional assistance, support or simply more time. Since its launch in 2016, businesses from every sector have been joining the global Sunflower network - ranging from retail, travel and tourism, transport including over 200 airports - as well as railway networks, coach and bus services and ferries, education (universities, schools and colleges), healthcare, central and local government agencies to football teams, theme parks, theatres and financial institutions.
