Founded in late 2019 and headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA, High Temperature Superconductors, Inc. (HTSI) has established a full-scale production line dedicated to manufacturing best-in-class, high-temperature superconducting (HTS) tape. We began building our production facilities with the acquisition of the assets of Superconductor Technologies, Inc. in 2019. In 2022, we further expanded our capabilities by acquiring Boston-based PVD Products. This positioned us to leverage the expertise of PVD Products, particularly in large-area IBAD and reel-to-reel deposition systems, along with equipment utilizing thin film physical vapor deposition (PVD) techniques. The versatility of our wire can extend to a broad portfolio of applications. Our high-temperature superconducting solutions can find utility in high-field magnet devices for next-gen fusion devices, transmission cables, SMES systems, rotating machines, including wind turbines and industrial motors, MRIs, scientific measuring devices, accelerators, and more. Leveraging HTSI’s proprietary technology, we are set to deliver exceptional performance, positioning us as a key domestic supplier to critical-need markets such as fusion power and the U.S. electric grid. Overall, we are committed to pushing the limits of what is possible in the superconductor industry.
