Highland Offroad is one of Scotland's leading off-road driver training centres. We provide training in 4x4, ATV (side-by-side, sit-astride and sit-in, both conventional and skid-steer), winching and vehicle recovery. We are based near Dunkeld in Perthshire, where we have a purpose-built training facility, with classrooms and off-road driving course. We are a licensed Lantra provider, offering both 1-day and 2-day courses. The emphasis is on health and safety, and safe practical operation, and the courses include details of compliance with government legislation. Practical hands-on learning is backed up with classroom sessions, and all successfully-completed Lantra courses result in a certificate and Lantra skills card, proving the skills learnt and the level of competence achieved. Bespoke, customised courses are also available, to meet the specific requirements of employers and employees. Courses are suitable for individuals and businesses, and recent customers have included major corporate employers, environmental organisations, public bodies and mountain rescue teams. Employers looking for training to meet the standards of PUWER, COSH and Health and Safety at Work will find our courses ideal to ensure the training and necessary certification of employees who are required to operate in an off-road environment as part of their job. We advise that training is best delivered in the vehicles the employees will normally be using, or we can provide vehicles if preferred.
