About Highlights Healthcare - Autism ABA Services
Highlights Healthcare provides autism diagnostic evaluations and in center-based ABA therapy to children with Medicaid benefits. For autism diagnostic evaluations and ABA therapy our ages are 18mo-5.5 years old (exception up to 8.5 in New Bern). We work with each family and help with every aspect of their individual needs. We believe every child can achieve great things, and we are guided by family-centered principles that demonstrate dignity and respect. We provide innovative, evidence-based therapy services to meet each child’s specific needs with compassion and a whole-family focus. Our highly skilled clinical team conducts diagnostic evaluation services using various Autism screening tools to determine if an autism spectrum diagnosis is appropriate, based on the learner’s specific needs. We assess the child’s cognitive abilities, social and language skills, and functional ability of daily living activities. We work with the child’s parents each step of the way to discuss age-appropriate skills, the child’s strengths and challenges, and the results of our evaluation.
