HighPoint Capital is a private equity investment house that provides growth capital to established private and ASX listed businesses in Australia. HighPoint is owned by its management and backed by a core group of high net worth families. HighPoint also has an alliance with a larger PE fund and a large investment manager, for co-invest opportunities We identify profitable businesses (usually with $2.0M+ in pre-tax earnings and an EV of <$60 million, or up to ~$100m market cap if ASX listed), that have exceptional growth prospects and provide them with a combination of capital, skills and experience they need to help them grow. We make partnership-style investments by providing comprehensive support to the CEO and senior executives in critical areas, to enable growth to occur. We understand the challenges and complexities that come with a fast growing business, such as balancing the need for more capital with personal financial risk, family and management dynamics, as well as complicated ownership structures. It is for these reasons that we are not conventional! We are flexible with the range of investment structures we adopt, including minority ownership stakes and with the capital we provide. Our strategy is to invest in and grow businesses that are capable of being sold via an IPO or trade sale (if private) within a 3-4 year time period and if ASX listed, to 'selldown' over the same time frame.
