About Highveld Horse Care Unit
The Highveld Horse Care Unit (HHCU) is a non-Profit welfare organisation that specializes in and covers all aspects of welfare for horses and donkeys throughout a large part of South Africa. Our work involves investigation into allegations of cruelty to equines, and prosecution where necessary. We rehabilitate and rehome equines. We have a township 'outreach clinic' programme that assists working horses and donkeys and their owners through assistance and education.
