About Hilltop Farms
Hello and welcome to Hilltop Farms. My name is Dena Staudinger and my husband's name is Jeff Staudinger. We have a baby boy named Austin, and I have two daughters named Neva and Jordan. Like most families, having young children led us to be concerned about the nature and quality of the nutrition they would be receiving over their developmental lifetime; especially during their earlier, important, and formative years. Like most parents, our main concern was about the availability of affordable, natural, and healthy products; as opposed to the highly processed and mostly grade 'B' foods that line the local grocers shelves and fast-food take-out lanes. This concern led us to begin producing and consuming as much of our own food as possible. We are a small family farm (50 acres) located 15 miles northwest of Lawrence. We believe in and strive to achieve a symbiotic relationship between the animals we raise and the land upon which they grow...sustainable agriculture.
