About HIMSS Washington Chapter
Welcome to the HIMSS Washington State Chapter A local chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society, focused on providing leadership in healthcare for the management of systems, technology and information. The Chapter promotes an organized forum for continuing education and exchange of ideas amongst its members to improve healthcare information and management systems that support patient care and wellness. The Washington chapter of HIMSS began in Seattle in 1988 as HIMSS - NW. It served not only Washington, but also Oregon and British Columbia. When Oregon developed their own chapter in 1999, HIMSS - NW became HIMSS Washington.
