OUR MISSION: At Hippo Seal, we aim to exceed customer expectations and elevate the standards of practice within the commercial construction industry by operating with integrity and professionalism while keeping safety at the forefront of our endeavors. OUR HISTORY: Hippo Seal is a small woman-owned construction business headquartered in downtown Lynchburg, Virginia. The company was originally founded as Caulk and Sealant Services, LLC in 1987, later Incorporated as CaulkSeal, Inc. by Charles “Van” Holton. Van invested over 30 years cultivating relationships with local contractors and building owners while serving a niche market with professional commercial and industrial caulking and waterproofing services. In 2015, Van’s daughter, Mary Theil Holton, obtained a Class A Contractor’s License and followed in her father’s footsteps to open Hippo Seal, Inc.. Mary Theil brings with her years of professional experience in international and national sales, project coordination, marketing, import/export and team management. Hippo Seal continues to build on the long-standing relationships established through years of dedicated and professional services.
