We offer a free online tendering service for homeowners, to help them get three comparative quotes and hire a builder for their building project. We offer a number of benefits over rival 'referral' sites for both the customer and builder: - There are no joining or membership fees for builders to register with us and they receive a free profile page. - Job details are issued to registered builders first and then posted to the projects list. Builders can express an interest and are not charged for these leads. - When prices are complete they are issued to us via an online tender return form. We then format and issue these to enable easy comparison by the homeowners. The quotes also contain a link to the builders profile pages so that these can be assessed at the same time. - When the homeowner has selected the builder they want to appoint we will draft a contract and issue it for electronic signature by both parties. The homeowner also received a free guide to appointing the builder and managing the contract. The website has been developed after many years working in the domestic residential sector and draws upon our experience in both get quotes for projects and securing job leads from referral sites. Our main goals were to reduce the upfront costs for builders (by implementing a no-win, no-fee pricing system) and to improve the quality of the tenders for the homeowners. This latter aim has been addressed by using a standard format tender-return, administered by us which ensures like-for-like quotes which can be easily compared by customers. The site is currently in development but we are seeking excellent builders to join us prior to launching the full website in early 2015. Any recommendations would be gratefully received.
