About Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber
Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber (HMC) is dedicated to working with all members of the community to increase the economic advancement of Hispanic-owned businesses in Oregon and SW Washington. Our regional network provides a vast array of confidential technical assistance at no cost to entrepreneurs and small businesses through our two locations in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Our top priority is to empower Hispanic small business creation and expansion to achieve job creation and retention, capital investments, and dynamic innovation that improves quality of life in the region. Since 1994, HMC has provided a vital forum for the Hispanic business community to share ideas, concerns and successes. As local community leaders and chamber members come together, they build partnerships that allow Hispanic businesses and other members of the community to better understand the contribution that each one makes to the growth and development in Oregon and southwest Washington. HMC conducts an array of activities including workshops, seminars/webinars, educational series, networking sessions, luncheons and dinners with local and national keynote speakers who are thought leaders in their areas. The chamber provides scholarship opportunities for Hispanic students as well as educational and business Individual Development Accounts (IDAs). HMC advocates for the full participation of Hispanics in economic opportunities, work to increase the opportunities that Hispanic businesses have to compete for public and private contracts, and work to increase the resources available to Hispanic businesses to help them grow and be successful. We are "Diversity and Inclusion". We are HMC.
