About Historic House Trust of New York City
In partnership with NYC Parks, the Historic House Trust advocates for, promotes, and provides expertise to preserve 23 publicly owned historic sites located throughout New York City’s five boroughs. Located on public parkland, our 23 partner historic sites are open to all and are instrumental in creating engaging programs for their surrounding communities. Ranging from modest farms to grand mansions, these landmark sites provide essential windows into the lives of all New Yorkers, past and present. We are a team of historic preservation professionals that believe the structural integrity of historic buildings is the foundation of telling New York’s diverse stories. We believe historic sites are not static antiquities – they are living institutions uniquely poised to address current issues in their communities and the world while retaining their connections to the past.
