About HIT Scotland
Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland is an industry led charity, empowering inspirational development within Scottish hospitality. Established in 1994 by the industry leaders of the time, HIT Scotland has gone from strength to strength to support literally tens of thousands of people working and studying in the Hospitality industry in Scotland to broaden their skills and personal growth by taking advantage of tailored, inspirational and worldwide learning experiences offered through the HIT scholarship programme. What makes HIT Scotland so unique is the spirit of its brand which, in so many ways, reflect the unique spirit of the hospitality industry itself in Scotland. It is one of its kind as an industry led collaboration. The unique scholarship programme that HIT Scotland offer is made possible by extensive support from all sectors of the industry who primarily donate funding through attendance at events or through individual donations and corporate sponsorship. The various fundraising events are well known in the industry as being the ‘hottest ticket’ and an enviable opportunity to network with industry colleagues and with the wider tourism and leisure focussed audience that we attract. Our fundraising events are organised regionally by enthusiastic teams of volunteer committees who see this as their way of giving back for scholarships received or just generally, to support their industry.
