About Hitting Cancer Below the Belt

Hitting Cancer Below the Belt (HCB2) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is dedicated to colorectal (colon and rectal) cancer prevention. HCB2 provides early detection services for the uninsured, education opportunities for the community, and direct support services for cancer patients and survivors. Inspired by her late husband's battle with colon cancer and passing in 2011, Executive Director Melinda (Mindy) Conklin established HCB2 to offer services and events to educate the community and increase screening rates to help defeat colorectal cancer. Hitting Cancer Below the Belt (HCB2) provides direct services and prevention education while working along side health providers to extend our reach to the vulnerable populations within communities.
