HME Ibertubos started its journey in 1912, as “Metales y Platería Ribera”, a familiar company devoted to metal stamping. In 1967, it made a Joint Venture with the German company “RG Schmöle Metallwerk”, changing its name to “Ribera & Schmöle” and slowly drifting its production to the copper capillary tube. In 1989, it joined KME Group, changing its name to KME Ibertubos. As of 2019, the name changed again to HME Ibertubos to reflect the belonging to Hailiang Group, but also keeping its history as “Ibertubos”. Nowadays, HME Ibertubos is located close to Barcelona. It has a small/medium team (less than 50 workers), but is highly specialized and flexible, dedicated exclusively to the production of the upmost quality capillary tube. HME Ibertubos produces copper capillary tubes with external diameters ranging from 1,25 to 6 mm, and wall thicknesses from 0,2 to 1,25 mm. We specialize in flow-controlled tubes, known as TECTUBE_flow, which are widely used in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) industry as expansion valves. Flow-controlled tubes have tolerances of internal diameters lower than ±10 microns, allowing the ACR companies to achieve the best energy efficiency. Other important markets for HME Ibertubos are heat exchangers, automotive, thermostats, thermos couples, etc. HME Ibertubos nowadays works for the most renowned refrigeration producers, having customers worldwide: Europe, North of Africa, USA, South America and ASIA. Our core strengths are quality, service and flexibility.
