About Holland Arts
The Holland Area Arts Council has provided arts advocacy in the Lakeshore community for over 47 years, inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and experience the arts. A unique blend, HAAC is the only organization in the West Michigan area that serves as an arts council and an arts center: a building where artists and community members come to experience art, a group of people that steps out into the community to provide similar experiences and an organization that supports and partners with other community organizations to promote and advocate for the arts. To achieve its mission “to engage, educate and challenge the community through the arts” the Arts Council focuses on three main areas: art and cultural education, community involvement and high quality arts programming. It serves as the regranting organization for Region 4a, offers adults' and children's classes and workshops and presents a variety of exhibitions that engage local and international artists.
