About Holywood Cricket Club 1881
HOLYWOOD CRICKET CLUB 1881 (#HCC1881) is for boys and girls aged 3 to adult. We have ~350 Juniors of whom 40% are female. We are the largest Junior Section in Northern Ireland and possibly Ireland as a whole. We are also the only Club in Northern Ireland with all-girls Junior Teams; 4 of them (they play boys teams, in case you wondered 😉). Seeking to connect with businesses with a Philanthropic / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Sponsorship interest in supporting unique sports opportunities in Northern Ireland at HOLYWOOD CRICKET CLUB 1881. 1. GIRLS CRICKET at our Club is UNIQUE HCC is the only Cricket Club in Northern Ireland that hosts 4 all-GIRLS SCHOOLS U11, U13, U15 and U18 Cricket Tournaments with ~ 400 participants and we are eager to connect with businesses who would support such an event. 12 Schools take part. 2. In-SCHOOL GIRLS CRICKET In 2018 HCC created the largest school girls coaching programme at Sullivan Upper School, Strathearn School and Rockport School, coaching ~1,000 girls plus a further ~1,000 at 8 local Primary Schools / Prep Departments. HCC intends for girls cricket to be a legitimate sport and ultimately the #1 summer sport for girls. We also deliver in-school cricket to ~1,000 Primary School boys. In total ~3,000 school children receive free cricket from us. 3. U11 KWIK Cricket Tournament called the 'Mini World Cup" HCC hosts 11+ schools in 16 boys teams in the largest KWIK cricket Tournament in Northern Ireland. 4. CRICKETEERS Age 5 to 9+ for boys and girls providing an intro the the gross and fine motor skills that are the building blocks of cricket skills. Skills introduced brought fun games. 5. MINI BOUNCERS Age 3 to 5 for a patient introduction to what Cricket is. Parent interaction is encouraged and is a lot of fun. 6. SUMMER SCHEME For 8 weeks in July and August we have a multi-sport scheme in the mornings to early afternoon. This is run by the same amazing Coaches from CRICKETEERS.
