Homefire is dedicated to producing great Zinfandels. It's a promise to ourselves and you. We believe in allowing a vineyard to express itself - by picking at the correct moment - not by altering the wine after its made. We believe in blending, cold soaks and oak. Homefire is a winery .. a business, and most of all, a passion.. for the fruit, the land and the science. Our hands are red from the crush .. not green from cash.. It is a joy, a calling, an obsession, sometimes a mistake. We are at home in the field and the lab. When a year has passed.. and the wine is finally put to bed, there is a satisfaction, not unlike the moment an artist signs his work - though, by full disclosure, the wine did most of the work.
