In today’s world of convenience, consumerism has made it far too easy to click a button and have a product appear at our doorstep the next day—without a second thought about where it came from, who made it, or the impact it has on the planet. At Homegrown, we want to change this narrative. We believe that all products can be ‘homegrown’ in spirit—made with care for both people and the planet. Our goal is to bring transparency to consumption: to show consumers where their products come from, how they were made, their environmental footprint, who produced them, and how to extend their lifespan. By reconnecting people with the origins of their products, we hope to foster greater appreciation and more responsible consumption. The EU has already taken steps toward greater transparency by requiring brands to disclose sustainability information. Homegrown provides a space for brands to go beyond these requirements, sharing their journey in an authentic and meaningful way. At the same time, consumers can use Homegrown as a tool to advocate for the transparency they want to see, encouraging their favorite brands to join and share their story.
