About Homeless No More
Let's End It. Homeless No More is a nonprofit organization that believes family homelessness is entirely solvable. Our continuum of care – from emergency services to transitional and affordable housing – keeps each family together and meets their needs at the right time with the right services. By providing the support to move each family toward a permanent, self-sufficient solution, we can eradicate family homelessness and help parents and their children achieve lasting independence. Homeless No More is a viable solution to an ongoing problem that should not even exist. For children, our network means stability: keeping up with their education, seeing other children in the same plight and being surrounded by caring adults who reassure them. For parents, this progression of housing, education and training services means a helping hand when they’re struggling to care for themselves and their children. And it keeps families together, including boys and men, while they work to heal. Our model is unique. We offer a continuum of housing and emergency services that work together to stabilize in-crisis and at-risk families, helping them achieve lasting independence. With traditional homeless services, the first thing that happens to families is fathers and boys over age 12 are separated from the family unit. We’ve developed a system that keeps them whole and together – one that makes a profound difference. Homeless No More offers three programs as a part of our continuum of care to help meet the need of at risk and homeless families: Family Shelter, St. Lawrence Place, and Live Oak Place. We know that by stabilizing homeless families with services and environments that maximize their potential, we can move forward toward independent living.
