About Honest Wrenches Automotive Repair
What a ridel It's hard to believe but we first met each other back in 2010 at DMACC in the Auto Program where we were partnered up together in class. Even though, we came from different parts of the state (Travis - Dubuque & Josh - Des Moines) we quickly became best of friends after we ended up fixing a friend's car together. Little did we know that one seized bolt would be the beginning of a super business partnership! We continued to do weekend work together on cars to pay our way through college. But, when the city cited us far "running a business out of a house: we knew it was time to put all our resources together to start a business. We didn't know we were doing anything wrong at the time. We were just excited. So, we knew it was time to start to do it... right. On May 1st, 2011 Honest Wrenches Automotive Repair was created. We would work out of a storage unit while attending college and working other full time jobs - ranging from waiter to semi and trailer mechanic. Fast forward to college graduation in 2012, that's when we took Honest Wrenches full time (while still hustling other jobs just to make ends meet.) In March of 2013, we hired Honest Wrenches' first full-time employee. He is still an Honest Wrenches employee to this day, working hard everyday as an original member of the HW team. Finally, in September of 2014, we put the brakes on our night jobs and went full speed with Honest Wrenches. The rest, you can say, is history. But our story continues to be told with happy customers just like you, everyday. We are proud to continue to provide the best service we can, with outstanding amenities for our clients and teammates! We are truly one big family and everyone of us pours everything we have into our work. From our humble beginnings to now, we have added more than 25 team members to our team that have been able to provide a positive impact on their life and their family.
