About Honors College

An honors education at many universities is one-size-fits all. Not so at UAB. With almost 2,000 undergraduate students, the UAB Honors College offers two curricular options: Personalized Path and Specialized Programs. Students in the Personalized Path work with an advisor to create their own trajectory that includes honors seminars, core, and elective courses aligned with their unique interests and goals. The Specialized Programs offer structured curricula for interdisciplinary arts and sciences, science and technology, or global and community leadership. Whichever honors curriculum our students pursue, they benefit from a close-knit community and endless opportunities. The Honors College is dedicated to innovative courses, hands-on experience, service learning, and — most importantly — the individuality and diversity of our brilliant students.
