About Hood Thomas Architects
John and Mark formed the partnership of Hood Thomas Architects in 1997 after sharing office space together in San Francisco for 9 years. During that time they noticed both of them shared strong design skills, a rigorous work ethic and a commitment to provide personal service to their clients. Hood Thomas Architects is comprised of four full-time staff and two managing principals. We believe a firm this size is small enough to maintain direct principal involvement in each project, yet large enough to manage the demands of the diverse project types and sizes. Our work includes the design of custom homes, residential additions and remodels, multifamily homes and condominiums, small commercial projects, restaurants, shopping centers and interior architecture- tenant improvements to offices and stores.
