About Hope Against Cancer
Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire and Rutland's local cancer research charity who are striving for a future where more people survive cancer. The Hope Cancer Trials Centre, based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, provides world-class care and ground-breaking treatments not currently available on the NHS. In 2020 we funded a huge £1.5m expansion to the space, making it more comfortable and practical for patients and staff alike, and we continue to fund two nursing staff, equipment and research at the facility. Our work also involves funding innovative research at our local universities that leads to improved treatments and better outcomes for those living in the shadow of cancer. Through our strong partnerships we have helped establish Leicestershire and Rutland as a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. Expertise that benefits both local people and the world beyond.
