About Hope at Hand

Hope at Hand's poetry programming provides unique Arts and Culture experiences for North Florida. Our core programming offers weekly poetry sessions for youth-based organizations serving at-risk teens and children. For adults, we offer events, virtual workshops, and exhibits to engage our wider local community. Hope at Hand offers two distinct poetry opportunities: 1) poetry programming in collaboration with social service agencies and 2) public events/poetry festivals. Children and teens who are struggling with difficult situations, poverty or isolated by circumstances beyond their control may not even know that they want to express their frustration, their dreams, their hope to a supportive community. Hope at Hand is able to connect with vulnerable youth, creating a safe space for them to trust others, and process thoughts and feelings while considering the concepts of confidence, self-esteem, choice and change. Opening up, reaching out and connecting can seem impossible, even unimaginable. Hope at Hand can help. Free If I could be free that's all it would take.
