HOPE Christian School is a private, PreK-12 non-denominational Christian school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, ranked #1 private K-12 school in ABQ by Niche and Top 5 Best of the City by ABQ the Magazine (2023/24). It maintains a small school feel with large school opportunities. In a rapidly changing world, HOPE has demonstrated its relevance and leadership to a growing number of Albuquerque families while standing on the unchanging word of God. Since 1976, our mission remains: TO PRAY FOR, EQUIP, AND SEND CHRIST-CENTERED, PASSIONATE LEADERS TO CHANGE THE WORLD. Through the COVID pandemic when most other schools shut down, HOPE remained open, and welcomed many new families who may otherwise not have considered a private education for their children. And when the other schools reopened, the majority of these new families stayed at HOPE. The sense of family and “small school” environment at HOPE, despite it being the largest private school in New Mexico, is one of the draws. The small student:teacher ratio, combined with the servants hearts of staff who feel called by God to make a difference in the lives of our students, produce a family-like environment where students are loved, challenged, and empowered to step into what the Lord has called them to. The HOPE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION movement launched in 2023 illustrates HOPE’s focus on helping students to find their God-given place and purpose in this world.
