About Hope Communities
Hope Communities is a nonprofit organization established to provide a pathway to self-sufficiency and economic opportunity for low-income families in greater Denver. Founders understood that individuals and families could better dedicate themselves to those goals when they had a safe place to call home. Hence, began a commitment to offer affordable housing, enriched with essential services to help residents achieve economic stability and personal success. Today, Hope offers 280 units of affordable rental homes and provides an array of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of the 1,000 individuals we serve each year. We provide hope, opportunity and tools to build career, social capital and community engagement. We want the children we serve to thrive through school and life. We help them to be school ready, support them through K-12 and encourage college enrollment to propel future personal and career achievement. We provide programs to support healthy life choices, social/emotional growth, cultural competencies, leadership development, career awareness and personal enrichment. Adult navigation services and programs are geared toward workforce readiness, career pathways, cultural competencies, health and wellness, personal development and enrichment. We encourage and provide support for adults to advance their careers and become actively engaged in the community. All programs and services at Hope Communities are voluntary and free of charge. Admission to programs is open to neighbors, as well as residents of our apartments, as part of our commitment to build stronger communities. Hope is dedicated to expanding its inventory of affordable housing units to foster inclusive communities and provide opportunity for the people that create the fabric of the Denver economy to live and engage more fully in the area in which they work.
