About Hope for Haiti's Children
Since 1995, Hope for Haiti's Children (HFHC) has been a trusted organizational bridge for individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations to experience the joy of making a significant and lasting improvement in the lives of thousands of Haitian children. We follow a sustainable approach in this work -- establishing an in-country network of trusted local Christian educators, business leaders, and other professionals who carry out the day-to-day operations. Approximately 80% of Haitians live in abject poverty. Illiteracy, food shortages, lack of clean water, and minimal health care are common realities they face every day. Less than half of Haiti's children will ever attend school. Scarce public education and tuition-based schools make education an impossible dream for most Haitian families. Hope for Haiti's Children meets the needs of these children through an education sponsorship program, health care services, orphan care, and crisis relief efforts. Through sponsorship, a child knows hope, is given dignity, and sees daily demonstrations of God's loving compassion.
