About Hope Thru The Valley
Hope Thru The Valley provides Christ-centered, holistic support for people walking the valley of grief, drawing their focus to the Comforter. Hope Thru The Valley is the non-profit we have created to minister to those grieving the loss of a loved one. We (Eric and Lisa Thiessen) were blessed through the support of our community and through the grief support services we received after the loss of our spouses in May of 2018. After we met that summer, and as we navigated our losses, we both felt God powerfully moving us to use our experience in grief to help others (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We began leading a GriefShare support group in our church in 2021. Our experience in leading GriefShare has validated our mission and has shown us the need for additional services in our community. We have also seen the comfort and hope that Christ provides to those who are grieving. We founded Hope Thru The Valley for this purpose. Hope Thru The Valley, located in Wantage, NJ. It is a registered NJ Non-Profit Corporation and an approved 501(c)(3) organization.
