Since 1925, HKCC has been an active part of the constantly evolving local community. It was founded on catering for the needs of individuals – many deprived coming back from military service – desiring to improve education to qualify for better employment opportunities. Today, HKCC continues its rationale particularly in its vocational education and training (VET) programmes in assisting and supporting people in need. Also HKCC offers a comprehensive suite of art and leisure courses such as painting, pottery, yoga, photography and language courses which offer intellectual stimulation and companionship to a large number of seniors in the community. HKCC hosts a major Art Show event each year which is open to the public.
