According to a recent University of Phoenix survey. 64 percent (more than (four-in-five) working adults find working on teams difficult. Of the group who finds teamwork challenging 61 percent (three-in-five) say there is not enough training. Most employees focus on their individual professional goals to get ahead. Integrating personal goals within a team structure requires skills. At Hornung Creative Consulting & Coaching, we have found that building a team requires a customized approach. No groups of people are alike. Creating a team must involve all the players learning about their strengths and participating in the process of defining the team. Camaraderie and team spirit cannot be mandated, but it can be cultivated. The company culture has to support “team” objectives to cultivate the team.
