A Grade II listed Georgian inn of honey coloured stone, the award winning Horse & Groom is a must for anyone visiting the beautiful Cotswolds. The hill top setting provides spectacular views over the surrounding landscape and there is private parking and a large garden to the rear. Inside, sympathetic refurbishment has added a contemporary feel whilst maximising original period features. Brothers Tom & Will Greenstock and their friendly team run the pub with passion and pride. Whilst Tom looks after all things front of house, the Kitchen is Will’s domain. His approach to food is simple – use the tastiest ingredients and let the flavours speak for themselves. No over-elaborate dishes, just great combinations using the very best produce. Supporting local farmers who share his passion for quality, Will is able to source 80% of his food from within a 30 mile radius. The local suppliers extend beyond the food. Three hand pumps on the bar offer a regularly changing selection of local real ales including brews from North Cotswold, Goff’s and Hook Norton Breweries. If you prefer a little fizz in your pint then try the Cotswold Premium lager from Cotswold Brewing Co. To make the H&G the perfect country escape, five sumptuous double bedrooms await upstairs. Fully refurbished and individually styled, each with ensuite facilities, the rooms offer a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the Cotswolds. Approaching a decade at the helm, the brothers have a built a loyal following and accumulated a string of awards since their arrival including a Michelin Bib Gourmand, a Good Hotel Guide Cesar Award, Good Pub Guide County Dining Pub, Cotswold Life Dining Pub Award and numerous TripAdvisor Certificate of excellence Awards.
