Roy Award for Community Health Care, the Seva Rathna Award & the Dharmaveera Award for his selfless service in the field of medicine. Dr.GB and the KGH team strive tirelessly to make advanced healthcare affordable and accessible to all. KG Hospital has stayed at the cutting edge of healthcare while staying true to its charitable mission. KG Hospital has pushed the boundaries of medicine with research having filed for 2 patents in 2020 alone. KG Hospital was the first in the world to introduce 4D ultrasound and first in Asia to introduce 128 slice cardiac CT Scan. Today, KG Hospital is the only hospital in Coimbatore performing minimally invasive cardiac surgeries. KGH is the third center in India to have successfully conducted a Cadaver Kidney transplant and is a high volume transplant centre. The hospital has been recognized by the Government of India, Dr MGR Medical University and National Board of Examinations for conducting Medical research, and as a center for nursing education and post graduate courses in 13 medical and super-specialities. Further, K.G. Hospital is a recognized Designated Blood Bank for nearly 200 hospitals located in Coimbatore and adjoining areas. Staying true to its charitable mission, the hospital has performed about 1,00,000 IOL surgeries free of cost to the poor. 2000+ cardiac surgeries free of cost. The hospital provides 100+ units of blood free every month for Thalassemic children etc.
