A traditional family-owned hotel since 1889 A central location, 139 spacious, air-conditioned suites and rooms make the Hotel St. Gotthard not just the perfect spot for short getaways or extended breaks but also for family holidays and all kinds of events. Hotel St. Gotthard is a privately-owned hotel in the heart of Zurich’s famous Bahnhofstrasse shopping area and just a few steps from the city’s main railway station. The historic old town and beautiful quayside Bellevueplatz (“Bellevue Square”) are also within easy walking distance. Zurich Airport is only a few minutes away by car. During the Second World War, America’s General Eisenhower and Great Britain’s Field Marshal Montgomery chose the Hotel St. Gotthard as the venue for their talks in 1942. It’s been a popular meeting place ever since! Other eminent guests over the years have included Switzerland’s most famous soldier Henri Guisan, Henry Kissinger, the Dalai Lama, Maria Callas, Arnold Schwarzenegger and various Swiss Federal Assemblies
