About Houghton Greenlees & Associates
We are predominately mechanical and electrical design engineers, but, in addition, we offer project management services, building system surveys and clerk of works/site engineering inspection from our Bristol base. Our Engineers are enthusiastic, very experienced and talented in their field. We like to undertake projects in a proactive manner with a hands on approach to the project. We prefer to see projects from initial concept stages through to the finished commercial product with a happy client. HGA was established in 1965 taking the names of the original partners, Arthur Houghton and Ken Greenlees. In April 2002, Tony Bates and Tim Sumner were appointed Directors after a structured management buyout. Since then Martyn Frampton and more recently Paul Williams have also been appointed as Directors to complete the Management Team. In 2018 Tony Bates stood down as Director but remains employed by HGA at the most senior level continuing to add his many years of experience to the team. Our Engineers are enthusiastic, very experienced and talented in their field. We like to undertake projects in a proactive manner with a hands on approach to the project at design, on site and occupation stages. Our preference is to have involvement in projects from initial concept stages through to the finished product producing a satisfied client. Most of our clients are long standing with whom we have carried out many projects over the years. The importance of relationships relates not only to HGA’s viability, but also the enjoyment of work itself. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, personal, and extremely professional service in everything we undertake.
