About Housing Matters
Established in 1965, Housing Matters is a community-based housing advice, support and advocacy charity. We offer brief advice or long-term, multi-agency casework - sometimes over several years - to anyone facing housing issues in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Often we work with clients and families who are threatened with or already experiencing homelessness. We aim to find lasting solutions - a safe, permanent home appropriate for our clients' needs. We also influence housing policy, ensuring that the voices of local people with lived experience of the housing crisis are heard in citywide policy debates and at decision making forums.
