We've been involved in the supply and installing of patent glazing in both roof and vertical applications using single or double glazing or polycarbonate sheet. Applications The system is suitable for use in Shopping Malls, Schools, Retail Complexes and Factory Units. Description The range provides for inverted glazing bars to suit various spans. Traditional types of bar can also be provided if required. All glazing bars can successfully incorporate top hung opening lights, smoke ventilators window inserts and louvres. The requirement of suitable structural supports should be considered at an early stage in the project therefore the Company would suggest its involvement at the earliest opportunity. Manufacture Composition Glazing bars are extruded from aluminium alloy complying with BS 1474 designation 6063T6 ancillary components such as flashing, closures weathering and gutters, can be provided from preformed aluminium alloy to BS 1470. Appearance All glazing bars and ancillary components can be supplied in mill finish, natural or colour anodised to BS 3987 or polyester powder coated to BS 6496 in a wide range of colours. Design Considerations (Heat and Light) Solar performance characteristics for typical glasses and double glazing units can be provided upon request. (Weather Resistance) Adherence to the design recommendations of BS 5516 will ensure adequate weather resistance for glazing pitched above 15 degrees. Detail drawings will be prepared in accordance with the agreed design requirements and submitted for approval prior to commencement of manufacture.
