About Hoyas for Recovery
Hoyas for Recovery is Georgetown University’s student recovery community. We provide peer support, advocacy, and recovery-positive programming for students impacted by substance use, whether directly or through loved ones. Our mission is to create a campus culture where recovery is visible, valued, and supported. Through weekly meetings, sober events, harm reduction and wellness initiatives, and collaboration with university partners, we work to reduce stigma and expand access to resources. We also advocate for equitable campus policies that prioritize student well-being and belonging. Hoyas for Recovery is open to all students, alumni, faculty, and staff who want to support recovery on campus. Together, we are building a strong, compassionate community where every Hoya can thrive.
