HR Rescue Resources, LLC was founded in 2010 by Lisa M. Kennis-Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP. It is a human resource/business management consulting firm dedicated to guiding and educating business owners about the many facets of human resources that have a direct impact on operations. Whether it involves employment practices, hiring, discipline, terminations, records retention, workplace harassment prevention, training, compliance with FLSA/ADA/Title VII, OSHA, FMLA, ACA, to correctly completing an I-9 Form. Failure to CORRECTLY implement any of the items mentioned above can have a devastating impact on a business. HR Rescue Resources understands the important role small business plays in our economy and wants to ensure their long term success. Even ONE lawsuit or EEOC finding could put a small organization out of business. That is why compliance is so important! Lisa is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She has over 20 years of professional, strategic, and tactical experience in Human Resources, counseling, crisis management, and community marketing. Lisa retains her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and her Senior Professional Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). Lisa is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Pittsburgh Human Resource Association (PHRA), Pittsburgh Consulting Community, and former member of The Chamber of Commerce (Pittsburgh North Regional & Airport), No BS Marketing/Profit Catapult Business School, Woman Small Business Association (WSBA), Girl Scout Parent Volunteer, and Senior Project Judge for Moon Area School District.
