About Høreforeningen

Høreforeningen er en handicaporganisation, der varetager over 800.000 danskeres interesser på høreområdet. Vi har 8.000 medlemmer og ca. 350 frivillige, der repræsenterer foreningen. Høreforeningen arbejder bl.a. for, at mennesker med hørenedsættelse og døvblevne kan kommunikere på lige vilkår med andre mennesker i samfundet. At kommunikere er livsvigtigt for mennesket. Vi har brug for information om alt, hvad et moderne liv kræver, og vi skal kommunikere for at kunne fungere socialt. Når hørelsen svigter, har kommunikationen svære vilkår - ikke mindst i et informationssamfund som vores. Høreforeningen arbejder for at nedsætte eller helt forhindre risici for høreskader i forbindelse med støj og kraftig lyd på uddannelsesinstitutioner, på arbejdspladsen og i fritiden.
