Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC (HRC) was formed in 2008. Ten years later, in 2018, Humboldt Sawmill Company, LLC (HSC) was formed. HRC owns 209,300 acres of Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C013133) certified redwood and Douglas-fir timberlands in Humboldt County, California. The company's FSC certificate details may be found on our website. HRC has access to another half million acres through a long-term log purchase agreement with Green Diamond Resource Company. HSC owns the sawmill, cogeneration power plant, and other manufacturing assets in Scotia, California, in the heart of Humboldt County. HSC manufactures redwood and Douglas-fir lumber, timbers, and uppers, certified to FSC standards.
