About Humkadam Foundation

Humkadam is an all-youth idea which started one day(March'11) in a college cafeteria amongst a group of friends. Soon the idea transformed into an initiative and today we are a registered NGO with an aim of spreading smiles to life of many who are special souls. Most of us are working professionals and want to contribute something back to the society. Today India has a large number of young people who want to come forward and help others in one way or another, our idea is to connect all such willing youths and add something valuable to this great nation of ours. Humkadam works on a number of issues: 1. Child welfare in a number of orphanages like Rajendra Ashram and Aaradhyan Children Home in New Delhi 2. One of the first NGOs in India to address the issue of bullying in teenagers. 3. SMALL – Social Media Awareness for All aims to create a better digital space for everyone. The workshops have been received well by the participating schools. 4. My Green Buddy – Raising awareness towards the environment through children through our various workshops. 5. Humkadam was also one of the charity partners at Airtel Half Marathon, 2014 where w promoted the cause 'A better future'. It urged people to come forward at help the kids located at Aradhyan Childen Home, a rural orphanage located outside Chattarpur, Delhi. Humkadam believes in the active engagement of the community, the charity and of course, our awesome volunteer base. We feel proud to say that within two years of our inception, we have volunteers from all parts of India. The contribution of this volunteer base was critical in delivering TeeSign - the T-Shirt design competition which asked the participants to design a piece of merchandise for us. Close to 100 participants applied from different parts of India and were awarded with vouchers from our sponsors. A win-win situation for all.
