About Humming Records

Humming Records, founded in 2009 by Colin Lovrinovic and Jörg Peters, is a technology focused music company with offices in Berlin and Hamburg. Started in the midst of the music industry’s biggest transformation, Humming decided to rethink the traditional label model and decided to play an active role in reshaping the future of experiencing music. Rather than fear the change, Humming decided to be a part of it. Putting a strong emphasis on digital releases and technology - combined with strong personal attachments to every single one of their artists, the label continued to grow over the years. One could call that progressive - we think it’s just common sense. Humming was the first European home to internationally acclaimed artists such as Josef Salvat, Cloud Control, or Grammy nominated K.Flay and has been nominated as Germany’s best independent label at the VIA! VUT Indie Awards numerous times, but hasn’t won so far. Time to change that, huh? Humming’s identity has always been about embracing the value of music, true artists and their vision in a fast-paced industry, whilst focusing on the development of longterm careers. The team believes in strong ideals and put the artist’s vision first. The big picture, creative freedom and ultimately the art itself is more important than a quick buck in the short term. In 2019 Humming Records joined forces with NEUBAU Music, a Berlin and Hamburg based music management powerhouse, to combine their efforts in finding and developing great talent and bringing it to music fans around the world.
