hūs studio is an Architecture and Design Studio with offices in the UK and Australia. hūs studio was founded in 2015 by Principal Architect, Rob Burwell. Educated in the UK at Liverpool and Manchester Universities Rob was awarded a distinction for work undertaken as part of his Bachelor of Architecture degree. For the past 20 years he has worked for a number of award winning architecture firms both in Sydney and in the UK. At Sheppard Robson (London, UK) Rob was the project architect for a number of successful refurbishment projects for Imperial College London; at Richard Rogers (Sydney) he was part of the team that delivered The International Towers at Barangaroo and at SHED (Sydney) he led a variety of award winning commercial and residential projects including Hotel 1888 in Pyrmont. hūs studio was founded on the principle that in order to create a great place for people, you have to understand people, work collaboratively and above all, listen. Each client and each site are different and our approach is about extracting as much information as possible from both through a detailed briefing process and thorough analysis of the site. We specialise in the design and delivery of high-end individual homes, multi-residential buildings and hospitality fit outs with a special interest in public spaces and the adaptive re-use of historically significant buildings. We offer a complete service from pre-purchase feasibility studies, concept design and submission of Development/Planning Applications right the way through to the management and delivery of the project on site. Through an open and honest dialogue with the client and a rigorous process of trial and improvement we aim to find the best design solution possible. This gives our clients the best result - a bespoke design that enhances their lives and is unique to their site.
