About HVH Transportation
HVH Transportation traces its roots back to 1956 to a company named Thacker Brothers Transportation that offered service between Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado. Twenty-one years later, Robert L. Holder purchased Thacker Brothers and began what is today known as HVH Transportation. Through a series of acquisitions beginning with operating authority previously owned by Edson Express, HVH began expanding service into towns along Colorado's Interstate 70 all the way to Grand Junction, CO. Then in 1993, Star Motor Freight operating authority was acquired and service to Boulder, Greeley and Fort Collins, CO began. Expansion along the Interstate 76 corridor came with the purchase of Platte Valley Transportation in 1996 and in 1998 the acquisition of Miller Brothers Transportation provided increased efficiencies and improved customer service in Denver and the Fort Collins area. With combined annual revenues exceeding $10 million, our Colorado LTL and Intrastate Truckload division serves more than 300 cities and towns through a network of terminals located in Colorado Springs, Denver, Grand Junction, Kremmling, Lamar, Pueblo and Sterling. Much of HVH's revenue and equipment growth over the past 10 years has come from our Interstate Truckload division. What began in 1981 with one truck hauling one shipment from Denver to Los Angeles has grown into a 300+ tractor operation, approaching $50 million in annual revenues. We provide service throughout the west, southwest, Midwest, and the western provinces of Canada.
